Open Mic at The Columba Club Douglas Friday 21st November 8pm

We are happy to have the use of this friendly little venue in the heart of Douglas again so we decided to throw an end of year open mic to celebrate. It's a bit hidden away but the gate is in the big white wall next to the traffic lights where Circular Road meets Prospect Hill/Bucks Road. Enter the iron gate, turn left and keep going to a little car park and it's just round the corner to the right. There will be notices. There's plenty of on street parking in the area and disc zones become void at 6pm.
Anyway, bring your poems or just come along to listen. New performers are just as welcome as the experienced so come along and have a go. It's a bit early, but air your Christmas poems if you wish, there are no themes. The atmosphere of these events is relaxed and friendly and fun.
Your £5 entry fee to cover hire costs will include a buffet. There is also a club bar where you can purchase the usual soft or alcoholic drinks. Over 18s only please. If you want to perform then please sign up when you arrive. The allocated performance times will depend on numbers. For those with mobility issues the venue is mainly on the level and toilets are easily accessible.
